Computers have come along way

The Matrix was not the first movie to introduce a world created inside of a computer, but it may be the best so far. The concept that a computer could produce an environment so utterly realistic as to fool a human being is a relatively new concept. A concept made more believable by recent advances in computer gaming. Modern games not only boast better graphics, but realistic physics and materials that mimic those in the real world. Games like Second Life and Sims even allow people to literally transplant themselves inside of a computer world and live out an alternate social existence.

For the first time in our history, we are not just discovering new worlds, we are building them. Before we faced the challenge of manipulating the world in which we found ourselves, now we must confront the problem of creating worlds from scratch inside of a computer. Such a thing was not imaginable only a few decades ago. Obviously, advances in computing power can take credit for making this possible, but that is only half the story. Advances in computer programming techniques have proved just as vital.
Ten years ago a country boy like me,would have never been able to figure out the Complexities of a computer, but now with all the advancements that have been made,I am able to enjoy myself, with a blog,e mail, etc.I am working on some stuff for the blog that will blow you away, however I may get busy, and it may be winter time.Goose
