Men, on average, die 5.2 years earlier than women. In the U.S., the average life expectancy for women is 80.4 and for men is 75.2. Why men die younger and how they can live longer is being explored by researchers. There is even an organization, the Men's Health Network, that is advocating for a government bureau on men's health.
Men die younger of all the leading causes of death. By age 36, women outnumber them in the population. At age 100, women outnumber men 8 to 1. The Journal of the American Medical Association even published a special issue dealing with men's health. How can men close this gap? Read on:
