Farming in the Bootheel

Two things are going on in the fields.Wheat is getting sowed,and fields are being put to grade.Some of the lending institutions,unless a farmer is real stout,do not want to loan money to farm land that cannot be irrigated,either by furrow,or center pivot.The best method is to put it to grade,because it helps to drain the field and it does not have pot holes in the field.Jerry"Ding Dong" Bell was farming land that had been put to grade forty years ago.Jerry had the recipe and took it with him.Goose
