Ice Storm

Things are getting back to Normal in Portageville.Ameren UE came in and did a wonderful Job.Places Like Tallapoosa,may not have Electricity until March.My Son Cary who lives between Fagus and Pollard does not have any idea when he may get Electricity again,and he is on the Board of the Co-op.There are areas around Poplar Bluff that is going to be quiet a while getting Some.
Pemiscot-Dunklin is slow in getting customers back on,and we have heard reports of the Manager being fired,because he would not let Ameren Ue help get them back up and going.That may or may not be true,but I do know there are maybe 20 houses In portageville who do not have electricity,and they are all on Pemiscott Dunklin. Not criticizing them just telling you the facts.
People with a little bit of sense made do during the storm,and the ignorant ones you had to feel sorry for.There were actually people who would have been content to never got electricity,because the Red cross was feeding them and giving them a place to sleep at the school.I was dispatching one nite,and they brought me some food from there,and it was decent.The Ameren ue guys from up North loved the Southern Hospitality they received while down here.More Later Goose
