We have failed miserably

With all the heat we have had lately,I am suprised that someone has not succumbed to it.The reason being there are people in town who have no air conditioning.There are people in town who are running generators,just to have electricity,and keep refrigerators running.One particular house does not have inside running water.Is the China slum Lord alive in Portageville.One house has to have a generator because the landlord refuses to fix the meter box,after the Ice Storm.The other house i have no idea why.
The government failed these people miserably,because they gave them a check,and they did not have to work,and learn some resposibility.Had they been forced to work,they probably would not have to live in thes houses,because you make a lot more from working,than the welfare check you get is.
It Is not just Portageville,there are other communitys that have conditions just as bad.Sad But true.I thought the days of people living like hogs was over,but I was wrong.Goose
